I'm going to try firing up the blog again for 2016, especially the nature/landscape side of things. It is in desperate need of a redesign so I will be working on that while shooting for KSTV.

Unfortunately slideshows on older posts have been disabled by flickr. You can find all of my work in my gallery.

"Gott Heem!!!"

Spending too much time at the ball field and not enough time sorting through folders of pictures. As it should be!

The whole South Carolina series was about as good as it gets. I love the emotion this team shows. They are totally dialed in from first pitch to the absolute last. You will not see players sitting and twiddling their thumbs in the Kentucky dugout. They are on the rail, supporting their teammates and cheering on every pitch. They are a joy to watch and their enthusiasm is contagious, drawing large crowds throughout the weekend.

The Cats edged out the Gamecocks 4-3 for a second straight victory over the two time defending champions.

Reliever Trevor Gott struck out the final two batters to secure his 4th save of the season. The Cats moved to a school record 20-0!

Welcome Home Cats!

Big Blue Nation converged on Bluegrass Airport to celebrate and welcome the Final Four bound Cats home from Atlanta.

It was a hard taking pics in the dark clinging to a piece of sheet metal with one hand and trying to balance on a block of concrete with a camera in the other hand. But I had to try. =)  Welcome home Cats!

#16 Kentucky vs. #2 Gamecocks

Friday night's SEC opener was nearly perfect with a big crowd, gorgeous weather and exciting baseball. Only the game's finish could surpass the early drama in the sky. Junior catcher Luke Maile cracked a two-run walk-off homer in the 9th to seal the Cats' victory over the 2 time defending champs, the South Carolina Gamecocks. The game brought UK's record to 19-0, tying a school record set by both the 2007 and 2008 teams.
